Summer Christian Values Day 2025
Communion
Taking advantage of our beautiful grounds, this terms Christian Values Day took place outdoors. The children enjoyed many outdoor activities and reflected upon our value of Communion. All of our Christian values days include an act of gathering and sharing; here you can see our campfire experience, where our children enjoyed marshmallows toasted on the campfire with Mr Marks and Mrs Cook. Yummy!
We created some superb woodland prayer labyrinths too!
Perhaps the most special part of our day was a visit from the ice cream van, where our families came to enjoy a tasty treat with us at the end of the day.
Autumn Christian Values Day 2024
Justice
This year, our pupils learned about climate change and the injustice of its impact upon vulnerable communities. Our super Ethos Group began the day by leading collective worship and introducing COP29. They asked all pupils in school to make a climate promise on a decorated leaf to assist in the effort to slow down the effect of climate change on our earth. We have put them in our worship area to create a Marton ‘forest of promises’.
Each class then went away to learn more about climate justice in different ways.
As usual, we gathered back together at the end of the day to share our reflections and eat a biscuit together! Yummy!
Thank you to everyone in school for making this such a great day!
