  1. Parents & Carers

Information for parents

We firmly believe that the most successful educational journeys are built upon a strong, collaborative partnership between home and school, helping every child flourish within our supportive, values-led community. Our commitment to providing the very best experience for our pupils is steered by a clear strategic focus. Below, you will find our current School Priorities, which outline the key areas we are dedicated to developing and enhancing this year.

Curriculum Priorities

  • 1. Further strengthening Our Love of Reading Across the School

We want every child to become a confident reader who enjoys reading. We will continue to develop a strong reading culture by providing daily opportunities to read, sharing high-quality books and stories, and giving extra support to children who need help to catch up.

    2. Continuing Strong Phonics Teaching

We will maintain our high-quality phonics teaching to help children become successful early readers. This includes identifying any gaps quickly, checking children’s progress regularly and providing extra support when needed.

    3. Helping Every Child Succeed at Key Stage 2

We are committed to improving outcomes for children who need the most support in Years 3 to 6. Through careful assessment, tailored teaching and targeted interventions, we will help pupils make strong progress in reading, writing and mathematics.

    4. Enhancing Support for Pupils with SEND

We will continue to strengthen the support we provide for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. This includes identifying needs early, providing effective support, working closely with families and ensuring staff have the training they need to help every child succeed.

    5. Continue promoting Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice

We want our school to be a place where everyone feels welcome, valued and respected. We will continue to celebrate diversity, promote fairness and inclusion, and help children understand the importance of equality and social responsibility.

    6. Maintaining Excellent Attendance

Good attendance helps children achieve their best. We will continue to work closely with families to support strong attendance through effective communication, early support when concerns arise and regular monitoring.
