VE Day or Victory in Europe Day takes place on Friday 8th May and marks 75 years since Prime Minister Winston Churchill announced on the radio that World War Two (WW2) in Europe had come to an end.

All around the country people will be (virtually) celebrating this day and remembering those who lost their lives and the effects of WW2. You may see houses dressed with bunting or flags around to make everyone smile and remember.
