Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
This week we have welcomed key worker children back to school for social care provision and taken part in various activities.
The staff have also begun to prepare classrooms for the phasing back of specific year groups. To confirm school return again:
Reception children – 15th June
Year 1 – 22nd June
Year 6 – 29th June
Each week, staff will upload information for their year groups so parents can make an informed decision about returning to school. Children will not be in their ‘normal’ classrooms or with all their class mates. Children will need to wear their own clean clothes (suitable for outdoor and PE activities) daily. Devices such as mobile phones/tablets are not to be brought into schools and children will need water bottles/suncream too.
Please can we stress again that this is entirely a parental choice and we will respect the decisions you make as a family.
Over the weekend, I will be writing to you to confirm the staffing for September. This is so you can all begin to prepare and plan ahead with your children and so staff can become familiar with their new classes. As yet we don’t have any idea what/if a school return will be like for September but I felt it was important for you all to know who will be teaching your children.
Hope you are all going to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge too; this seems like lots of fun!
With best wishes for a lovely weekend, Nevin
