Information about school for those reception children returning
Firstly, thank you for all the responses about the bubbles. Please remember there are only 2 bubbles so your child will be with some of their friends and see others across the playground. To reduce the risk for all families and staff, these bubbles are now finalised. Children can not change bubbles and will be in the same bubbles whenever they are in school.
Some practical information about coming back to school
All reception children will come into school through the gate to the left of the building and onto the key stage one playground. A member of the Marton team will be there to tell your child which bubble they are in and then can enter the classroom. Upon arrival, all children will wash their hands and then go to their desk. Please ensure you all maintain social distancing from the classroom doors and each other. We are having a staggered drop of time from 9am and 9.30 to support the need for social distancing, therefore please avoid gathering on the yard or car park.
You will all pick up your children from the key stage one playground between 3pm and 3.30 pm. Your child will be sent out to you as you arrive on the yard.
Please dress your child suitably for the weather forecast. They will need a sun hat when it is hot and coat when raining. Sun lotion is be applied at home as staff will be unable to apply it. Please remember that it is non uniform to ensure all children wear clean clothes every day.
Your child does not need their book bag or any other bag. They should only bring in a water bottle and a snack which they will place in their individual learning tray. If your child is bringing in their own lunch, please ensure it is in a disposal bag. All reception children are entitled to a school packed lunch. Please order their choice on parent pay.
Sorry for all the information in one message and we hope this answers some of your questions.
Have a lovely weekend and let’s hope the weather improves for us all.
Thank you
Mrs Owen and Mr Shaw
