Information for Families from Mrs. Deakin
I hope you have all enjoyed the long summer holidays and are looking forward to returning to school next week. The staff have all enjoyed the long break but we are desperate for routine now and we are looking forward to seeing you all.
Most of our building/boiler work has now been completed and we are hoping the final preparations will be finished by next week. Mr. Moss (our star) has been very busy over the summer painting and preparing school and we thank him for looking after us all so much.
'M.A.D House' are ready to welcome back your children for wrap around care before and after school. Footprints @ Marton have revolutionized the mobile classroom and outside area for their Nursery! ASM have been in constant touch (how wonderful to have such great PE support and advice) and we are all excited by these new partnerships at school.
Please don't forget to join us on the INSET day – Tuesday 1st September from 1pm and bring a picnic, rugs and chairs and meet on the school field (let’s hope for good weather!) ASM, our new sports provider will be here to play family games and we have arranged an ice cream van if you would like to buy any treats!
All children will return on Wednesday 2nd September for full days apart from our new Reception children who will go home after they have eaten lunch for the first week only.
We know for many children they may feel daunted by returning to school after being at home for many months; please do read and share my letter (dated 17th July) to your children to explain how classrooms will be set up and reassure them all that as a team we are here to help and welcome them back to school life.
