Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
It has been good to have a first full week back at school and we are all finding our feet and adapting to the new routines at school. Many thanks to our wonderful children and ASM for such a fabulous PE Enrichment Day on Tuesday, we all had lots of fun! Our zoom celebration assembly was brilliant again today too.
We will send out regular COVID19 advice and information as we receive this but we don’t want to overwhelm you or bombard you as the advice is ever changing. If your child or family members have C19 symptoms the advice is to contact your GP or 111 who may then advise you to take all family members for a Test. Test results can be shared with school or privately by emailing me direct on head@marton.cheshire.sch.uk. We will then inform parents/carers if you also need to seek medical advice or attention.
I was given £370 donation this week from Macclesfield Netball Club as a thank you for allowing them to have their outdoor training sessions at Marton. I am so touched that we were given such a beautiful gift and we were able to offer community support to a wonderful group of girls and young ladies. It has been a pleasure to help them. We will use this donation now to purchase new netball goals and we are very excited about this!.
Next Friday I will conduct our first (Zoom) Parents Surgery and our Chair of Governors will also be present, the details of the meeting are below so please do join us for chat if you can! For future Parent Surgeries we are going to be seeking out your advice on areas of the curriculum and new policies and we hope this new way of engaging with parents will be successful.
