We have head lice in school again. Please check your child’s hair carefully and treat if necessary.13 October 2020 (by Sandra Bedford (Bursarmarton)) |
There have been cases of head lice in school.
The link below provides the most up to date information and links to information on treatment and control. There is no requirement for children with head lice to be excluded from school. Treatment is simple and can be done in 10 to 30 minutes with a 'nit comb' on (ideally) wet hair with conditioner, repeated every few days for 2 weeks. Medicated shampoos and sprays are only recommended if wet combing hasn't been effective. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/head-lice-pediculosis
