CHESTER ZOO TRIP
Dear Parents and Carers
Chester Zoo are able to reopen and have contacted us today with a new date to visit them on Monday 7th December. We think this is a super end of term treat and I am delighted to inform you that our wonderful Friends and Family have confirmed they are willing to fund the transport – making this a completely free trip for parents and carers!
However, if you do want your child to visit the shop, please send money in a clearly names purse or envelope.
If your child has a school packed lunch, Rachel will continue to provide this although no hot options will obviously be available. We will update School Jotter with packed lunch arrangements by the end of the day.
Children are to come dressed WARMLY in own clothes with a waterproof coat/jacket.
Coaches will leave school PROMPTLY at 9.15am and will leave the Zoo at 2pm to ensure we are back in time for home time. Whilst there we will be following the Zoo’s School Visitor Charter in light of Covid guidelines. Anyone displaying Covid 19 symptoms cannot visit and must remain at home. Adults and children aged 11+ must wear masks in any food areas and inside the shop. Children are also advised to wear masks on coaches and will sit with their class bubbles.
Due to the short time frame we will contact parents/carers to see if you are available to help accompany us to the zoo. Again this will be following the Covid recommendation of adults numbers and school numbers.
Please can you confirm ASAP via ParentPay that you give permission for us to take your child to the zoo.
Many thanks, Nevin
