Marton & District C E Aided Primary School

We are all excited to be going to the zoo on Monday and thank you as parents and carers for trusting us and supporting us as we organised this very last minute trip! I thought you would appreciate some finer details to reassure you that we will be adhering to all Covid regulations:

Children will have registers taken at 9am. All children must be in school by then as coaches will be leaving at 9.15am.

Children and staff will be wearing masks (unless you have previously advised me of alternate arrangements) that have been donated by Mrs Larder’s company to wear on the coach.

Classes will sit in bubbles with seats apart on the coaches.

On arrival at the zoo (approx. 10am) children and adults will begin their visit. This will be in separate bubble groups and children will not mix with each other. We are grateful for the parents that responded so positively and so quickly on Monday confirming their willingness to attend the trip.

Children and adults will be reminded to hand wash and follow Covid recommendations constantly.

If parents want to send pocket money for the shop, entry will be limited to 10 pupils with adults and will be supervised by staff.

Coaches will leave the zoo at 2pm in order to return to school for the end of the day. All home time arrangements will be followed unless you advise us otherwise.

We will post messages on the school jotter to let you know coaches have left school and left the zoo.

Please do wrap up warm and wear own clothes, children will certainly need extra layers, hats, scarves and gloves too!
