Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We started the week off with a whole school trip to the Zoo and ended with a reindeer run wearing Christmas jumpers...what a great school week to be at Marton!
Each class (bubble) ran around the hall separately, wearing reindeer antlers and had such fun. Staff have taken pictures and these will be uploaded onto Seesaw and the website so you too can see how wonderful everyone looked. Many thanks to all families for sending in donations today, we will split these between East Cheshire Hospice and Save the Children.
As we were not able to go to the theatre for our annual Christmas trip, we have purchased an online pantomime (oh yes we have) and all classes will get chance to watch this before we finish for the holidays. Although our Christmas events are a little different; they are giving us the chance to explore many new things and that’s always exciting!
Next week is a very busy week..
· Twin Heights will be in school on Monday and Tuesday, class teachers will let you know if you children need to wear PE kits to school.
· On Tuesday, all KS1 children will have their Christmas parties and children can come dressed in party/PE clothes
· On Wednesday all KS2 children will have their Christmas parties and children can come dressed in party/PE clothes
· The winning house team will have an extra playtime and hot chocolate treat with Mrs Field on Thursday
· December birthday club will take place during Christmas parties (exciting!)
· Our Outdoor Nativities take place on Friday, children can wear warm own clothes all day.
F & F have funded party food and we thank them all in advance for such kindness. Mrs Laird is buying all the food fresh each day, many thanks Irene for being a star!
Please don't forget to join us all via Zoom at 2pm today for the F & F Christmas raffle. A full list of winning names and prizes will be posted on the app after the draw. Many, many thanks for supporting school and all your donations! HUGE thanks to F & F team for everything you have been doing behind the scenes; collecting donations, writing letters, making hampers, sorting tickets, buying gifts, being Christmas shop elves etc. etc. How lucky are we to have such support??
Wishing you all a very special weekend, Nevin
