A message for ALL Parents and Carers - Please read
Many thanks to you all for your patience and support in what has been a challenging and busy time to say the least!
We are closed and have been able to welcome children of critical key workers today with all staff present. The list of critical key workers is pretty extensive and therefore we need your help to establish what families really need the support of sending their children into school so that school remains a continued safe environment for pupils and staff.
If you need this support, please email us with a simple reply indicating which days you will need childcare due to your work shift patterns and Mad House cover by 9am Wednesday morning. This is not subject to change in coming weeks due to fixed bubble formations. If you have already contacted school/myself direct there is NO need to send a further message. We are currently swamped with messages and trying to answer emergency messages first.
If your child is Vulnerable, has Special Educational Needs or Safeguarding concerns, we are urging you to send your children into school so we can continue to support them.
We know the previous lockdown was particularly challenging for some families and we want to help you. Class teachers will be phoning some families this afternoon to discuss children we feel would benefit from returning to school. We are also offering a range of support for families that will include work packs and online learning as we know not all children can access remote learning in the same way.
Information about supporting families with packed lunches has already been issued this morning on the app. I have now arranged with a volunteer from Congleton Town Council to deliver packed lunches to those parents who have contacted us. Again, kindness in abundance!
I am so pleased to confirm that Steve at Hollinshead has confirmed school transport will be available throughout this lockdown and he also was able to provide transport this morning – what team work!
Please can you all read messages on the app as often as possible, as this is where all relevant information is in the first instance. Some of you have experienced issues with the school jotter app, if this is the case, please delete this and refresh it.
Once again, please can I express my sincere thanks to you all for your patience and support. Please do wish your lovely children a very happy new year and let them know that we are missing them all greatly!
