Information regarding return to school dates for Key Worker Children
Now that we have all heard the news that schools are unlikely to reopen until 8th March at the earliest; I thought you would appreciate a ‘head’s up’.
We all expected the delayed return to schools to be much longer than February half term given the increase in positive Covid cases. Our situation at school has proved just how serious this virus is and how it can affect such large groups of children so very quickly. At Marton we have been so lucky to have not had positive cases for so long and actually this past week has really highlighted our concerns about Coronavirus.
Many of the staff are in fact very poorly and may be unable to return to school next week, this will affect staffing and as a result I am trying to be cautious with the information about the return to school dates for Key Worker children.
As it stands now, the following dates are in place – but this is subject to change if we receive further positive cases over the weekend or staff are too ill to return to school. Please read all messages on the app for further news.
Key worker children important dates
- Year 2 return to school on Wednesday 3rd February
- Year 1 return to school on Friday 5th February
- Mad House will return to school on Friday 5th February
- Reception return to school on Monday 8th February
Please continue to keep safe and well, Nevin
