Meeting Minutes: 02/03/21

Minutes of previous meeting approved by all.
PG reported that the Valentines Quiz was poorly supported so will have a break from hosting more quiz nights until later in the year.
KJ reported that it is not possible to proceed with a fashion show fund raiser online. The idea is on hold until such time that a show can be held in school.
AM reported that Clothes collections are bringing around £40 per collection and the Lottery and Easy Funding are both bringing in regular humble amounts. It was agreed that these need promoting more, especially the Easy Funding. AD to look into an easy to follow step by step guide to using Easy Funding to share with the parents.
Thanks and Appreciation were given to Kerri Whitham for the Handicraft Afternoons hosted during half term. It was agreed that more children may have joined if there had been more promotion beforehand. It was agreed that it is in everyone's best interest to have times and dates of events firmly in place well in advance, preferably a minimum of two weeks.
It was agreed that with the children back in school next week it would be too difficult to schedule further craft sessions until the Easter holidays. Kerri's further ideas for the hosting of themed activities on zoom, including baking, hair styling and kids club were discussed and well received in principle.
The selling of The Mini Baker Magazine was discussed as a possible fund raiser. The current hard times and the magazines minimum order requirement lead us to agree that it was not likely to work for us at this time.
ND Brought to our attention this summer's Marton Wakes Event. At this time it is unlikely that F&F will get involved as it falls outside the school term, and at the moment it is not known if the school building will be available due to the covid restrictions.
