Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
This has been a very busy week and we have all thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine, good weather and being on the field! Please do send children in with trainers or a change of shoes so they can go onto the field each day. After Easter children are welcome to wear summer blue gingham dresses too.
Twin Heights came into school this week for PE master classes and are in again next week, this is all part of the support and well being activities that we have planned for your children and everyone has enjoyed these.
ASM have planned a Circus Skills day on Thursday and ALL children can wear PE/Sports clothes to school to take part in the many exciting activities they have planned. Please don’t forget that ASM have an Easter holiday club which I am sure will be lots of fun. All details are on their website and have been previously sent to families via the app.
Next week is Holy Week and there are many special events planned to support this: Monday New Life Church Easter lessons for Year 5, Tuesday Zoom Worship will be conducted by Doug & Diane Wisener, Rev Arch and Rachel Mason (family and children's ministry lead at Christ Church Alsager) have planned Easter sessions for Maundy Thursday using our beautiful prayer garden and grounds and we then finish for Easter holidays.
Information about Parents Evenings was sent home this week and confirmed times will be sent to you all on Monday.
I can’t quite believe we have had a year of Covid! We held a minute’s silence this week at school to remember everyone affected by this and it was a thoughtful time to reflect on what the past year has meant for all of us. Your children have been remarkable and I am longing for the time we can hold a whole school assembly and all ‘be together’. I continue to keep you and your families in all my thoughts and deeds.
Have a super weekend, Nevin
