Following the retirement of our Site Maintenance Officer, the Governors of Marton and District CE Aided Primary wish to appoint a Site Maintenance Officer for 32 ½ hours per week to be able to start work from 7th June. This is to ensure the new SMO is able to shadow our current SMO for the remainder of the summer term and to become substantive SMO from September. A split shift of 7.30 – 9.30 am and 1 – 5.30pm is preferred but this can be discussed at interview. There is also the opportunity to work additional hours to support school life.
Main duties include building security, cleaning all areas, general maintenance and minor repairs, monitoring and operating the heating system, liaising with contractors, writing summaries for governors and being a main key holder.
The successful candidate will have high standards and expectations of hygiene, show initiative and have a good manner with staff, children and parents.
