A message for all families4 June 2021 (by headmarton) |

Dear Parents and Carers
I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather and half term.
I thought you would appreciate some information we have received from Cheshire East as there has been an escalation of COVID cases in Cheshire East, with current case rates at 41/100,000 (up from 18/100,000 on 21st May). Cases in children however have been focused in the 12-18yr age group.
We also are aware that we have cases of the Delta (Indian) variant across the borough. As a result of this there needs to be an increased vigilance in schools, particularly in areas around Macclesfield, Wilmslow and Nantwich.
Advice from Public Health is that the most obvious ‘Delta variant’ symptoms in younger children and teenagers includes cough, headache and an upset stomach. If you or your children directly experience any of these symptoms, we strongly recommend that you get a PCR test.
Once again, I am asking for your continued support in wearing face masks when arriving at school and thank you for your continued support.
The summer term is one we all look forward to because of the many exciting summer events that we welcome you to; as it stands I am unable to confirm if any of these events can take place as the advice for large social gatherings remains that such gatherings should be avoided.
I will continue to keep you informed as I receive information and hope you and your families are safe and well.
Best wishes, Nevin
