Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
School is a hive of activity and excitement with end of term activities and it feels good to see and hear children enjoying the sunshine and summer events.
Huge thanks to Year 6 for participating in all activities this week, and to Mrs Wilson for organizing such an amazing week at school!
As we approach the end of term and now received the revised Covid guidance for schools (with effect from 19th July) we feel hopeful that September will see a degree of ‘normality’ at school. With this in mind, we will not cease the good practices and routines (staggered times etc.) we already have until the end of term as we want to continue to keep your children and you as families, safe. We will though continue to use the beautiful grounds outside school during the day for various activities.
I am sure you are all excited about Sunday’s football match and feel the degree of excitement that has swept the nation. Much discussion has occurred this week regarding the delayed start for children on Wednesday and I thank you for all your thoughts and comments. On Monday, school will be open as normal but if children need a little extra time in bed, they are welcome to come into school by 9.30am.
Wishing you all a super weekend; good weather and special family time.
I really hope it’s coming home!
