Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
It has been a pleasure to be ‘back home’ with my Marton Family and to meet several parents this week. We have also welcomed new children to school and it’s so rewarding to know that as parents you trust us and recommend us to local families – thank you!
We do pride ourselves on working alongside parents and whilst we have an open door policy, would ask that you make an appointment via the school office if you would like to meet with staff as before/end of the day is pretty busy!
Much consideration is being given to wellbeing and we now have an ‘out of office’ message on admin emails sent after the working day. This is to respect a work-life balance and we know you as families, support us in this matter.
We are delighted to be holding Parent’s Evenings on Monday 8th November 2 – 5pm and Wednesday 10th November 3.45 – 6pm. We will be conducting these face to face in the hall but will still follow good Covid Hygiene measures. This means numbers will be restricted and we will ask parents to arrive only 15 minutes before your appointment to look at children’s work. In order to maintain low numbers, children will not be permitted into the hall.
Parents will enter school via the main door and exit via the side door in the hall. A register will be taken as you arrive so we can maintain low numbers.
School will remain open till 3.30pm on Monday 8th November although children will be allowed home early if parents have already had their appointment with class teachers. Mad House will be located in Year 2 classroom.
Should Covid guidance change, we will review these measures.
Harvest goodies can be brought into school from Monday and can be left in classrooms. This is so each class can make a Harvest gathering ready for New Life Church collection on Wednesday. Thank you for supporting our Harvest collection. Your donations really help families in the local area.
Please don’t forget Monday 1st November is an additional day off and school returns after half term on Tuesday 2nd November.
With very best wishes for a lovely weekend, Nevin
