Covid Information for Families
Dear Families
We know managing Covid and understanding the recommended guidelines isn’t straightforward so I am simplifying some information for you:
- When someone in your household tests +ve children are advised to NOT attend school for 5 days from the first symptom or +ve case. Primary pupils can also undertake daily LFT’s during this time.
- We recommend taking your children for a PCR following any confirmed cases.
- Anyone who has tested +ve needs to remain home for at least 10 days from the date the symptoms appeared.
- Anyone who is a close contact of a suspected/confirmed case of the Omicron variant (regardless of age or vaccination) needs to self-isolate and book a PCR test.
- We report all +ve cases online via Cheshire East so infections can be monitored across the local area.
- We will always inform you following any +ve case and identify contact close contacts (where possible) although we will not discuss individual names.
- Remote learning will be sent to you if your children are well enough to manage school work.
- Parents and visitors will need to wear a mask when entering the foyer.
Please continue to keep school informed and stay safe.
Best wishes, Nevin Deakin
