Head's Up - Weekly message from Mrs Deakin17 December 2021 (by headmarton) |
Merry Christmas Everyone!
What a fabulous week!!!
We have all had so much fun this week and it has been a pleasure to be part of your children’s lives.
As a staff we are overwhelmed by your kindness and thoughtfulness and thank you all for your cards, gifts and support.
We have an INSET day on Tuesday 4th January and school is closed on this day. The whole staff will be having Positive Handling/Team Teach refresher training on this day and then we will welcome your children back to school on Wednesday 5th January. Staff will resume LFT’s as we return to school and we would continue to urge families to do the same.
At this moment in time our local High Schools are planning to open and will not have staggered return as some press coverage has indicated. At primary level we have not been informed of any further information/guidance although I will continue to update you as I receive news. Cheshire East continues to recommend the isolation period for any child/sibling of a confirmed positive household case and both EBA and CHS are informing their parents of this too. Please do make a note of the new Covid Flowchart which indicates what to do for self-isolation and testing.
We know this has been a challenging term as we have all adjusted to a ‘new normal’ whilst continuing to navigate our way through a pandemic. We are and continue to be; wanting the very best for all our children. We hope you enjoy their end of term reports and recognise that they are all working so hard! As always, I feel blessed to call all the staff, colleagues and friends and I hope they enjoy this holiday too.
Please don’t forget ASM are running a Christmas Holiday club 20th – 23rd December if you need support or childcare.
Wishing you and your families a safe, healthy and happy Christmas, with very best wishes for 2022.
Always your friend, Nevin Deakin
