Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We all enjoyed welcoming the children back to school on Wednesday and it felt good to be back to the routine of school life. I think we’ve all enjoyed having a shorter week too!
ASM after school clubs begin again next week and details of sporting events will be sent home with some year groups for events this half term. Whilst we are all still managing Covid and the implications regarding testing, we remain as ever determined to keep school life ‘as normal’ as possible and thank you for keeping in touch with us all regarding positive cases.
Information about ordering school lunches for children has been posted on school jotter twice this week as a great number of children have not had lunch selections made at home. PLEASE can you do this ASAP as Rachel needs to know choices to support ordering ingredients. Thank you.
I am delighted to have welcomed Mrs Simmonds to school this week as part of the staff support team and I know you will all make her feel very welcome.
Applications for September 2022 reception school places closes on 15th January and if you haven’t yet told friends and families about our wonderful Reception class and awesome Mrs Owen and Mr Shaw then it’s not too late to come and meet them! We have a further open afternoon on Wednesday 12th January from 1.30pm if anyone wants to visit school (Covid safely).
We are excited to be sending information about a parent governor vacancy at school today and hope you are interested in joining the Governing Board. Nominations need to be returned by next Friday please.
