Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
It was wonderful to see and hear all about the Year 4 residential this week. Children and staff have had an amazing time and we are so pleased. HUGE thanks to Mrs Sparey for coming to our rescue on Monday morning and accompanying the trip too! We all loved watching the video Mrs Sparey made about their residential during today’s Celebration Assembly.
We have dedicated this week to supporting Well-being with beautiful ELSA activities delivered to support children. Well-being remains a priority at school and we want all our children to feel supported and ready to learn. Please do talk to us if you feel you need support at home as often we can signpost you to services that can help.
Each class supported Safer Internet Day this week and children were taught about keeping safe online, age appropriateness and websites among other activities. We would urge you as families to continue to support your children and to keep them digitally safe. The NSPCC has really useful information for families and can easily be accessed but if you need further support, please contact us at school.
I had the pleasure of watching Year 3’s Performance Poetry about The Iron Man at the start of this week and know how much they have enjoyed working with Miss Wright (our student) on this. As I was so impressed; they were all invited to have hot chocolate and crisps today. I also invited the children who represented school in Church last week for Hot Chocolate and crisps today too. It’s safe to say Fridays are becoming my favourite day of the week!
