Information for Families from Congleton Town Council
If ever you are in Congleton town and feel like you need some adult support or help, shops displaying the ‘Safe Place’ sticker in their window are here for you!
Following a recent incident of bullying, some shops have set up a scheme to offer protection to anyone feeling threatened or intimidated. Congleton Town Council and Congleton Police are supporting the initiative.
The shops will offer you a safe public place to wait and if necessary will call the Police, CCTV or a parent for you. Shops already signed up include Glamorous, Serenity Designs, M &Co, Congleton Information Centre and Congleton Library. More are expected to join. It is hoped that this safety net will not be needed, but felt it was important the Congleton’s young people to learn about the scheme and recognise the window sticker just in case they ever need it.
