Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We have had a really busy week at school and the good weather has meant we have been able to use our beautiful grounds so much this week.
Our After School clubs launched this week and I remain so grateful for the staff, governors and parents giving up their own time in order to run these.
We are delighted to report that this year’s Eaton Rose Queen is Isla Goodwin and King is Christopher Bailes; we think they’ll do a wonderful job and it’s so lovely to hear such events are taking place again. The committee have sent this invitation to children to join the procession:
The Rose Queen is on 9th July and the procession goes from Beechwood Drive in Eaton, from 2.30pm. Children are welcome to join in, uniform is not required. For info, Eaton is Year 1’s Link Church
We have also received the following message about Emily Williams who together with her sister Madison (an ex Marton pupil) are taking part in Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids, in aid of cancer research. The race is over a muddy obstacle strewn 5km course, and they are running to remember their grandmother and great grandmother who both passed away from cancer. Please support them if you can!

Big shout out to our Year 6 who have been busy preparing for their forthcoming SATS, we are all wishing you so much luck and love!
I hope you all enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend, see you on Tuesday, Nevin Deakin
