Head's Up!24 June 2022 (by headmarton) |
Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
I normally pride myself on preparing my Head’s Up message in advance but this has been such a busy week that I’m writing this whilst waiting for KS2 to return to school for Friends and Family cinema night! The Cinema nights have generated £450 profit so far and are a testament to the team who have enabled this to happen and to all helpers; well done!
We have had real sporting stars this week and pupils have represented school admirably. Thank you all!
Next week we are looking forward to our Move Up Mornings. On Thursday children will enter school in their normal manner and we will meet for assembly at the normal time. Each (new) class teacher will then take children to their classroom to have an exciting morning. On Friday, we would like children to walk into their new classrooms as they arrive at school. This is to prepare them for September and staff will have rehearsed this on Thursday. Mr Stewart will be joining us to meet children on Friday.
Parent Surgery takes place on Friday @ 9.10am with Dr Jill McGarry who will be running a sleep workshop and can answer any questions you may have. PLEASE do attend if you would like any help!
We want to give you all advance notice of the price increase of school lunches from January 2023, these will increase by 5p per day. We will remind you again in September too. This is only for children in Key Stage 2 as all infant children (in Reception and KS1) receive a school meal.
Please don’t forget to look out for ASM’s holiday club information to support families during the summer holidays which will be sent in the coming weeks.
On Sunday, some of our Children (including some choir children) will be attending Swettenham Church’s Petertide celebration with Miss Copestick and I. ALL WELCOME to join us. Please be at church by 11.15am.
Enjoy the weekend, Nevin
