Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back to school this week and I was delighted to hear children have been playing so well at playtimes. We’ve seen lots of team work and support for children in other year groups and everyone has tried to be kind.
For our INSET day on Tuesday, Staff and Governors worked on preparing for SIAMS (this is the statutory inspection that takes place for Church schools) and we all discussed what it meant to be part of Team Marton. What a super start to 2023!
It's bizarre to think we are now planning ahead for September as applications for school places closes on 15th January. If you know of anyone still yet to apply for a school place, please urge them to do this online as soon as possible.
Spring term is always a hive of activity and we are looking forward to the theatre trip next week. As this is a normal day, uniform will need to be worn. Children will not need to bring anything with them as school will provide drinks and biscuits for everyone.
Please don’t forget to take down your Christmas trees today, that’s my job this evening at home!
