RE Experience Trips - whole school16 February 2023 (by officemarton) |
We are delighted to dedicate part of our school budget towards RE Experience Trips to places of Worship. This will support world view development for the whole school.
Dear Parents/Carers
We are excited to be able to share with you the details of our RE Experience Days as these will involve children visiting very special places of Worship and there will be no cost involved.
Consent only is required through ParentPay.
We can confirm that the children will be taken on a coach to each place of Worship, park outside and enter the buildings with minimum walking and will have a very exciting time. Children will need to come dressed in school uniform as this is a normal day but will need a packed lunch (or a school packed lunch if this is the normal arrangement). Although these trips support our Christian values, they are for religious education purposes and children will not be asked to worship.
The dates of these trips are:
Monday 13th March - Manchester Jewish Museum for Years 3 and 4
Tuesday 14th March – Cheadle Mosque 9.45am for Years 6
Tuesday 25th April – Liverpool Anglican Cathedral for Reception
Wednesday 26th April - Liverpool Anglican Cathedral for Year 1 and 2
Wednesday 17th May - Liverpool Anglican Cathedral for Year 5 (Global Faith Workshop)
For all of the trips, Mrs Deakin and Miss Copestick will attend and other members of staff will also join them along with class teachers. Foundation Governors are also attending these days.
We are very excited to be able to offer such worthwhile and meaningful experiences for our children. Please note that this is not an opt out opportunity, but a normal school day and therefore all children are to attend school.
All trips will leave shortly after morning registration and we will return with plenty of time before the end of the school day.
With best wishes,
Marton and District CE Aided Primary School
