Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
Our children have had the pleasure of attending several RE trips this week as Year 3 & 4 visited the Jewish Museum and Synagogue on Monday and Year 6 visited Cheadle Mosque on Tuesday. This is all part of our school experience and supports our RE curriculum. All credit to Miss Copestick for arranging these visits, thanks also to School Governors in agreeing that we could utilise the school budget and enable these trips to be free for children. We have had the very best time and children were all an absolute credit to school and to you as families. They asked thoughtful questions and were so engaged. We are all looking forward to the Cathedral trips after Easter now too.
On Tuesday we had the pleasure of celebrating a very special lady as Granny Lindop turned 80! Cynthia is such a treasure at school and has so much love and energy around her. Children sang Happy Birthday and we presented her with special gifts; we all wish her the very best year ahead!
Huge thanks to our School Council for selling Red Noses throughout this week and for organising FunFest today! The children absolutely loved this, had heaps of fun and raised £431.45 for Comic Relief. Please see Twitter for all photos.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Parents Evening on 27th & 29th March. Please note children will remain in school till 3.30pm unless you would like to take them home early after your appointment (please go to the school office and we will collect your child for you). Mad House will be located in Year 2 classroom on both evenings.
Special shout out to Max’s Dad (in reception) for being Mrs Sparey’s hero and changing her tyre. Your kindness meant soo much!
Wishing you all a super weekend, Nevin
