Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
This week has been a mixture of odd socks and sporting events and we have all loved it!
Our Year 4 children have been absolutely AMAZING this week and delivered the most beautiful assembly to promote World Down Syndrome day and then sold gingerbread throughout the week to the whole school. They explained how every one of us is individual and beautiful and have conducted themselves so well. We all agreed they have been ‘Courageous advocates’ and felt so proud of them.
We’ve been lucky to have a number of special worship/assemblies including one with Rev Arch on Tuesday and one with Rev Calvert on Wednesday, both so different and both so special. On Thursday Nina a CHS student delivered a special body positivity presentation to Year 5 & 6 and this again was super. It is always wonderful to welcome visitors to school.
Our sporting heroes continue to make us so proud and there is much excitement on the staff WhatsApp chat following any sporting event as we all wait to hear about the children’s progress. Thank you to all parents and carers for cheering on, transporting children and representing school too.
We’re looking forward to seeing you all for Parents Evening next week, details of which were shared in last week’s message. Please do remind your children about home time arrangements too.
Enjoy the weekend, don’t forget the clocks go forward on Sunday!
