Year 6 Special Message from Mrs Deakin5 May 2023 (by headmarton) |
SATS next week
Dear Year 6
It is a pleasure to be your Headteacher and to have watched you grow into the MOST wonderful young people has been a privilege.
It’s no secret amongst school that you are so well regarded by staff and by all children around school; they look up to you, watch you in assembly, love to talk to you and when you look after them at playtimes – they feel very special. To me, it seems five minutes since you joined Reception and ‘looked up’ to the really big children in Year 6 and now you’re about to sit your SATS next week! Thank you for working so hard and making Mrs Wilson and Mrs Woodmass so proud.
SATS don’t tell us about your character, or show what a kind friend you are, or how thoughtful. They are a snapshot of all your years at Primary School and we know from our end of year ‘Sandwich assembly’ the things we remember about school are often the funniest things that never involve learning!
So this weekend as we watch King Charles III become King, remember HOW amazing you are! Read a book you love, ride a bike, play with your friends, watch a footy game, do something fun, be nice to your parents and remember to get some good sleep. We’ll see you on Tuesday ready for breakfast and ready to do your very best.
Wishing you every success next week and always,
Your Friend, Mrs Deakin
