Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We’ve ended this short week with a bookmark given to every child from Friends and Family that not only commemorates King Charles III Coronation but supports our love of reading and we hope children will treasure these forever. Thank you so much F & F.
This is really a momentous occasion and we’re all looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend and celebrations taking place. If you are having a street party, family gathering or barbeque – we hope you all have a super time! We’ll be celebrating the Coronation next Friday with a special outdoor picnic (thanks Rachel) and an afternoon games event with Big John and ASM, bunting at the ready!
Next week is SATS week for Year 6 and we wish them every success and a chance to celebrate all their hard work. A special message has been sent to our wonderful children today.
We’ve a few reminders this week:
Please can dogs not be brought into the school grounds. I know this can be exciting for some children but for others it is traumatic, thank you.
At the weekend, school is sometimes used by local children to play in and whilst we have no issues with this we would kindly ask children to be respectful particularly within the Early Years Outdoor Area. Last weekend this was left in a mess and staff were very upset by this.
Wishing you all a super Coronation long weekend with lots of cake!
Best wishes, Nevin
