Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
Our children have had some exciting trips this week and I hope you are all enjoying seeing these pictures and posts on Twitter. This is such a great way for you to see what’s happening during the school day and we love sharing this information with you.
We are looking forward to welcoming Ann Angel next week for a Judaism day, which will involve class workshops and a special assembly. This supports our children living our school vision and understanding Global Faiths and I know your children will enjoy this. Miss Copestick (affectionately known as St Steph) has done an incredible job of organising all our Places of Worship visits this term and this too supports our curriculum.
We have Parent’s Surgery next Friday (9.10am) and I have some home work for you in advance of this. We feel communication is really good with parents but I would like to seek your views on this. We always issue an Annual Overview each September and around this time, I start gathering dates and preparing the Overview but if you feel this could be improved/changed; I’d love to hear it!
Our Year 6 look amazing in their Leaver’s Hoodies, it’s always wonderful to see them in the colours they have chosen. Massive thanks to Mrs Royall for arranging these.
Please can we remind all parents to choose school lunches by Friday for the week ahead. This is to ensure your children chooses what they would like to eat. If parents have not chosen, a hot meal will be provided automatically.
Don’t forget we finish next Friday for half term and return to school on Monday 5th June. In next week’s Head’s Up I will issue a list of useful dates for you all too.
Best wishes for a super weekend, Nevin
