Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We’ve had a super first week back at school with much excitement as we confirmed the staffing for September. We now look forward to the many exciting activities and events as we approach the end of the year.
I hope your children have told you about our new Daily Mile which has been created around school. Our aim is for children to complete this (walking, running, skipping) every day and as I explained during my assembly on Monday it doesn't matter if it's raining etc we'll be encouraging 'no excuses' .. had to eat my own words by completing my mile without sensible shoes on, so that was a lesson learnt!
Parents are welcome to travel along the daily mile each day too. 6 laps = 1 mile.
It is Photo day on Tuesday 13th June so please can all children come to school in full uniform, particularly year 6 as this will be the last primary photograph at Marton. Year 6 are welcome to bring their hoodies along with full uniform (ties too) in.
The weather for the next few days promises to be really hot so we'd advise parents to check water bottles and sun lotion ahead of this. Let's hope the weekend is glorious too!
Special shout out to our very own Super Hero - Mr Marks as he takes on the Ironman Challenge. We can't wait to hear all about this on Monday.
Wishing you a super weekend, don’t forget it’s the Congleton Food and Drink Festival on Sunday and a (very big) football match on Saturday!
