Weekly news from Mrs Deakin

There has been much to celebrate and enjoy at Marton this week with each day hosting different events and I'm forever grateful for everyones hard work and commitment to ensure our children have THE best time. We sometimes take for granted what an incredible team we are but as someone who works across two schools, I've marvelled at 'all things Marton' this week. These are just some of them:

Kaite's (school governor) netball club all smiling and working as a team.  

Mr Marks planning such incredible science activities and days for us all.  

Rev Calvert and New Life Church representing our local faith communities.  

Staff who think creatively every day and support each other.  

Governors who give their time, advice and practical help.  

A harvest gathering and coffee morning showing just what a school family we are.  

And a sweetie Friday as an end of half term treat! Thank you Mrs Woodmass for organising this. 

 If that's not a school family in action, I don't know what is.  

It's fair to say we're all ready for a rest and a chance to recharge now. Next half term is always super busy so please check the calendar on School Jotter for all special dates, especially Parents Evenings on 6th & 8th Nov. 

Year 6 will be selling poppies etc to support the British Legion Poppy Appeal after half term. Children are welcome to bring money to school for this.
