Weekly news from Mrs. Deakin
Thank you all for attending Parents Evening this week. It's always so lovely to share children's work with you and I hope you felt proud of your children's efforts.
Our children have had a very busy week and we received the most beautiful message about Reception and Year 1's trip to Eaton Bank and the Year 3 & 4 dancers who took part in the Dance Workshop @ EBA too. I'm so looking forward to seeing this tonight. I always feel so proud of our children but feel extra proud of them when such incredible comments come back to us.
Mr Stewart joins me in these sentiments as he writes; 'Last night, our fantastic football team took part in the Datastor Cup. They played some fantastic free flowing football in the group stages and were rewarded with a semi-final spot against a strong Black Firs team. A tight game followed with both teams having chances to win it but with the scores 0-0 at full time, the dreaded penalties followed. On this occasion, lady luck wasn't on our side and we were beaten 3-2.
However, every single member of the team should be so proud of themselves for their performances and I couldn't be prouder of the way they represented Team Marton. A special mention for all the parents too who were definitely the loudest and best supporters there.'
What a fitting end to the week. Thank you for all being part of our school family.
Next Friday is Children in Need day and children can come to school with crazy hair and donate £1.00. Can't wait to see everyone.
