Scarlet Fever information for Families
We have been informed of a case of Scarlet Fever in Year 3 and sharing information for you all as this is highly contagious and mostly affects young children.
If you suspect your child has Scarlet Fever, please seek medical attention and antibiotics.
With treatment, most people recover in about 4 to 5 days and can return to nursery, school or work 24 hours after starting antibiotic treatment. Without treatment, you'll be infectious for 1 to 2 weeks after symptoms appear and children will need to remain off school.
Thank you, Nevin Deakin
