Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
It has been wonderful to enjoy the beautiful weather this week; what a treat after the Bank Holiday too. Our children love being on the school field and having this space to play makes all the difference. Long may the good weather continue!
We are all now ready for Year 6 SATs on Monday and even though we say this every year - the time has flown by. Not only have our children prepared so well but they have tried their VERY best and we couldn't be more proud of them. Our thanks to Mrs Wilson, Miss Copestick & Mrs Jones for their support and dedication too.
This next part of my 'Heads Up' is just for Year 6...
It is a privilege to be your Headteacher and to have been a part of your lives. I've watched you grow, make friends, lose teeth, learn to read, remember your lines in Christmas plays and listened to your stories and jokes. For many of you, I remember you being born and coming to visit as babies in your parents arms. What a joy this has been!
Next weeks SATs are just another part of your journey and we know you'll do your best and try hard because that's what you do daily. We are proud of you every day. Feel proud of yourselves now too.
Have a fantastic weekend, eat, and sleep well, there's nothing to fear. We're all ready for next week (and the delicious SATs breakfasts) and your Marton family are right behind you.
Good luck Year 6!
Wishing all our school families a super weekend,
Nevin
