Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
There is a lot to be sooo proud about this week and I am delighted to be celebrating such good times with you all.
The Family Fun Day organised by F&F was a HUGE triumph and we are so thankful for their support and efforts in helping make our wonderful school such a success. They also supported school with refreshments yesterday for Sports Day and what a magnificent day was had by all! There’s something pretty special about Marton Sports Days as the weather is always glorious and everybody loved yesterday. Thank you all.
Reception and Year 1 children had a trip to the Blue Planet this week and had a super time, Mrs Owen has reassured me that nobody was eaten by a shark and I am relieved to hear this!
We had the great pleasure of sleeping over last night with Year 2, Mr Marks and Miss Copestick were on night patrol and there were several of us here last night enjoying games and a BBQ before bedtime. What a wonderful adventure to camp out at school.
We are all excited about our Move Up Mornings next week and staff are preparing children who have 1-1 support as our wonderful teaching assistants are also moving round in September. They will work with children next week and prepare transition booklets for them too.
Huge shout out to Finley Lewis this week..Finley recently auditioned for the Royal Ballet School and out of thousands of applicants Finley has been accepted as a Royall Ballet Junior Associate. Finley has worked incredibly hard and has earned a place in this prestige Ballet School. What a star!!!!
On Monday children are to come dressed in PE kits for an ASM fun day, let’s hope the weather is kind for everyone.
Have a super weekend, Nevin
