 Dear Families

I am writing to inform you that as a result of Cheshire East Council ceasing trading for school catering there will be a significant increase to the cost of school meals from September. Schools have desperately been trying to find ways in which to support families and this has taken some time to arrange. 

We all know the cost of food has increased and therefore the school meal price will be £3.20 per day from September for children in Key Stage 2. Infants will continue to receive a free school meal.

A full letter from Cheshire East Council is attached to this message and we would urge you to read this in full as this is a decision that is out of our hands.

We will however, take over the catering at school and this will be from January 2025. All staffing will remain the same and we are excited to be able to offer our own meals and menus. Rachel our school cook has been working behind the scenes so she can fully launch this from January and she will send you further information in the autumn term. 

We have worked hard to ensure that the cost per day will stay at £3.20 so families will not experience another increase.

If you feel you may be eligible for benefit related Free School Meals, do apply as this also generates funding for school.
