Heads Up12 July 2024 (by J Field (Year2)) |
Weekly message from Mrs Deakin
I’d like to start by saying todays’ Awards Assembly was nothing short of WONDERFUL!! It felt incredibly special to recognise all our children for their amazing efforts and hard work. To see everyone dressed in support of the England Football Team was such a joy too.
I cannot believe we now have one week left at school and what a week it is! Our Year 6 Leaver’s assembly on Thursday 18th July will be sure to make us all cry as we say goodbye and thank you to the class of 2024, do bring tissues for this special event which starts at 9.30am. Wishing Year 6 an incredible end of year party tonight too!
Children’s end of year reports will be sent to families on Monday and I hope you all enjoy reading these. They recognise how hard children have worked throughout the year and how the staff have supported them. My thanks to everyone!
From Monday work begins for the Playground Equipment that F&F have raised funds for – we are all so excited about this; what an incredible achievement too! F&F have found so many innovative ways to support school and today’s doughnut day was simply scrummy! As an end of term treat they have arranged to pay for an ice cream for every child when the ice cream van visits school – how kind!
Please don’t forget children are welcome to arrive up to 10am on Monday although school is open as normal.
Have a brilliant weekend and enjoy a VERY special football match on Sunday
Nevin
