    Weekly news from Mrs Deakin

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

Everyone looked wonderful dressed in pyjamas today and there felt lots of love around school, this was helped by a scrummy Valentine’s lunch that Rachel produced for everyone – thank you all for your support today. Miss Forster had organised today for us all and it’s been wonderful to see all your donations adding up. It’s not too late to still contribute online if you would like to follow this link:  https://www.justgiving.com/page/marton-district?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL

Children will have brought home some leaflets this week; F & F’s brilliant reading challenge which is just perfect for over Half Term and some information about the Smartphone Free Childhood Movement that was discussed during Parents Surgery. Please watch this space for our next Parent’s Surgery after half term.

All children took part in Safer Internet Day activities this week and please do ask your children about these. Keeping our children safe is the most important thing we can do.

Year 5 children this week were invited to Daneside theatre to watch Eaton Bank’s production of West Side Story and had a wonderful time, they sent EBA a beautiful thank you card as they loved this production so much! As always their behaviour was impeccable and we felt so proud of them all.

We are all now looking forward to finishing today for Half term holidays and hope you all have a good break. Please don’t forget we return on Monday 24th February

    Best wishes, Nevin Deakin
