SAVE THE DATES!
KS2 has been buzzing with excitement this week at the announcement of our end of year production. “There’s No Place like Marton” - where The Wizard of Oz meets Wicked. Please see our fabulous poster designed by Miss Heath.
Year six will be taking the lead with the summer show, and years 3/4/5/ joining with group musical numbers. Come and join us on our magical journey to meet the Wonderful Wizard of Oz on Tuesday 8th or Wednesday 9th July at 6pm. Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City, where a seat awaits you for a fabulous night of entertainment.
We are holding auditions on Friday 25th April. Every child who wants to audition has been given an audition pack. Each pack includes an introduction explaining what is expected of them with regards to attending rehearsals - giving their time/ hard work and commitment. They will also have a piece of script/words to a song they have to learn. As you can understand this is going to be a really tricky job casting the show. With 20 children in the class and almost all auditioning for a part – not every child will get the part they want, but will still have an essential role to play in the show.
We have explained this to the class and asked them to support each other and our decision when giving out the parts.
Rehearsals will be after school on Tuesdays and also during school time. Please let us know if your child will not be available for the evening performance.
We are hoping to create a show they will be proud of and remember forever!
