Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
What a fabulous term this has been. It’s been busy, action packed and we’ve had so much to share and celebrate. As always our children have made us all so proud and we hope they have a very (yummy) Easter. Thank you for attending Parents Evening this week and supporting your children. It is always good to welcome parents/carers to school.
Thank you to our incredible Friends and Family who produced another brilliant Easter Bingo last Friday, attendance was so high and they raised over £800 profit. Not only that but everyone had great fun and enjoyed being part of our Marton family. Today they held 'Doughnut Day' and everyone enjoyed buying these and eating them in the sunshine.
As the weather has been so beautiful, we have been eating outside on warm days and will continue to do this in the summer term. Many thanks to all our lunch ladies and to Rachel for organising this for us.
I am delighted to inform you that we have a new Incumbent and will welcome Rev Jim to our parishes in July. It will be wonderful to have a school vicar again and we hope Rev Jim and his family will feel very welcome. I will share more details with you when I receive them but just wanted to share our excitement with you all.
Today children are bringing home an Easter egg donated by one of our fabulous families. They are always so incredibly kind and always look after everyone at school – Thank you so much.
We’ve had MUCH excitement today as Mrs Laird has celebrated a very special birthday. Mrs Laird is the beating heart of Marton and no job is too big or too small for her. She manages to run the office, answer a million calls and emails and looks after each of us, all whilst being so cheerful and so kind to everyone. Today was a chance to celebrate her birthday and say thank you to her.
We hope you all have a super Easter and the weather stays warm.
Back to school on Tuesday 22nd April
