Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
Considering this was a short week, it’s been the busiest and longest week ever! We’ve tried to fill in as many activities as we could this week and all had a very productive time at school.
On Tuesday we welcomed Rev Andrew Calvert for his last School Worship as he has now retired. We were all so very sad to see him leave as Andrew has been coming to Marton for many many years and we all treasure his visits and friendship. He will continue to keep in touch with us and hopes to visit us. Each class presented him with special cards and we gave him some gifts to say thank you.
Yesterday children (and staff) looked fabulous in their red, white and blue clothes for VE day. Mad house had created a wonderful VE day display in the hall and we’ve taken lots of special pictures. Do check out the ‘Theme Day’ section on our website for all pictures; they are great!
Next week is Year 6 SATS week and we are sending them all our love and luck for a really brilliant week! You’ll see all the Year 6 arriving early next week for our SATS famous breakfast club, do wish them well.
The weather looks set to be glorious at the weekend and I hope you all enjoy the sunshine.
