Well WHAT an F&F year!! From fashion shows and bingo, colour run's and Christmas fayres, bake sales and disco's, to the grand finale that was last week's fabulous KS2 performance of 'There's no place like Marton'!
We have raised an staggering £14,600!!!! Added together with £9800 in grants, we have been able to place the order for the new ASTRO turf playing area. Work starts on this in Spring 2026!
I feel F&F has really lives up to the 'Friends and Family' name this year with so many people joining in to help make Marton as wonderful as we can for our kids. The core committee would like to pass on our huge thanks and gratitude to anybody who has volunteered. Without the donations of bakes goods, models at ladies night, supervisors at kids discos, Christmas shop helpers, swimathon swimmers, hay bales at the colour run, raffle ticket pushers and stall manners, we simply couldn't have raised as much as we have. Total Team Marton effort!
Special 'Thank You's' go to The Big Clothes Movement who have donated proceeds from their clothes sales as well as sourcing the clothes we used at the Fashion show.

The Congleton Rotary Club, Congleton Hydro, Congleton Young People Trust, The William Dean Trust and Tesco's blue token appeal. We are so appreciative of their continued support in school projects like gardening club, buying I-pads and the Astro turf. Thank you to Alyssa for writing the grant applications for us.
Becky & I work with the F&F committee who are 9 awesome women who basically get stuck in and sort stuff out! Thank you again Ladies for all your time and organisation this year. We are sad to see our F&F treasurer Jenny step down but the role has passed onto Maxine. Jenny was a F&F volunteer before Becky & I decided to join in 2023 when the old committee disbanded. She has provided so much insight and support in all things F&F to us over these past 2 years, we couldn't have done it without her! Thank you so much Jen!!
We would also like to highlight the work that Carly White has put into creating the promotional merchandise for events like the colour run and performance nights and for generally making anything F&F so pretty!
The continued supports of Mrs Deakin and all the staff has been amazing, and thank you to Mrs Potts for always being on hand.
But the biggest thank you must go to the school parents and families who's cash has basically built that £14K. We hope you have enjoyed the social nights, ice creams and programmes!

We use this group for shout out's for baking, volunteers, raffle prizes etc and as a communication channel to disseminate info onwards to class groups.
We will be holding our AGM on Wednesday 17Th September at 7.30pm at The Waggon and Horses pub. This is an open meeting for anybody to attend. We will be appointing the chair & secretary roles and forming the core committee as we must yearly. We are a really open, relaxed and friendly group. We are all busy people trying to juggle childcare, work and life, whilst squeezing F&F in. If you would like to offer any bit of help, however small, we want you to be involved. I hope anybody who has helped F&F this year has found it rewarding and most of all fun!
