    Happy Summer from Mrs Deakin

As we reach the end of another busy and successful school year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and partnership. It has been a pleasure to see the children grow in confidence, enthusiasm, and learning throughout the year. I hope you have all enjoyed reading your children’s end of year school reports.

We are proud of the achievements and progress made by all our pupils and grateful to our dedicated staff who work tirelessly to provide the best possible education and care.

To the Class of 2025; we wish you LOTS of love, luck and success for the future. You will forever be a part of our School family, remember our school values and don’t forget ‘There’s No Place like Marton’.

As we head into the summer holidays, I hope your family enjoys a well-earned break filled with rest, sunshine, and the chance to make special memories. We look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Wednesday 3rd September, refreshed and ready for the year ahead.

A few reminders for the new school year:

    • Healthy Snacks: Please ensure children bring a healthy snack for playtime (e.g. fruit, vegetables, plain crackers). We ask that sweets, chocolate bars, and crisps are not brought into school.
    • Water Bottles: Children should bring a 1-litre water bottle with a closed lid (no straws, please) to stay hydrated throughout the day.
    • Smart Watches & Mobile Phones: These are not permitted in school. Please ensure they are left at home to avoid distractions and ensure safety.
    • Uniform: We expect all pupils to return in full school uniform, including proper school shoes (not trainers). A smart appearance helps set the tone for positive learning.
    • Sickness Policy Update: We have revised our 48-hour sickness rule. If your child has been sick once, they may return to school 24 hours later, provided they are well enough to attend and take part in the school day. If symptoms persist or worsen, please keep them at home and seek medical advice if necessary.
    • Parent Surgeries will take place each half term and are open to all parents, details of these will be sent out to families along with our annual overview of all key dates, in September.
    • Meet the Teacher meetings will take place on Monday 8th September: KS1 @ 4pm and KS2 @ 4.30pm

Thank you once again for your support this year, your incredibly kind gifts and thoughtful words; they really mean so much.

We wish all our families a wonderful summer break and look forward to seeing everyone again in September.

    Nevin Deakin
