    Parent’s Surgery feedback

    7 October 2025 (by headmarton)

Thank you for the emails regarding Parental Engagement which were discussed at Parent Surgery this morning.

We are so pleased ‘physical’ homework has been a success and you all appreciate the link this makes for consolidating school work. We will take on board your suggestions about finding information on our website and hope to make information easier to find but will continue to use School Jotter and Seesaw to update you.

We shared our 2025/26 School Improvement Priorities and will add this to the school website later today too.

Please see below for full details:

School Improvement Priorities for 25/26 – Information for Families

These headlines provide a summary of the information for Parents and Carers (the full working document for staff and governors contains more detailed data and analysis)

    Whole School

    • Ensuring the school is fully prepared for inspection by evidencing our strengths and addressing areas for further development.

    Curriculum Priorities

    • Spellings (KS2): Delivering a structured spelling programme to secure accelerated progress from Key Stage 1.

    • Phonics (KS1): Supporting rapid progress in phonics through the Little Wandle programme.

    • Reading: Monitoring and strengthening reading provision so that all pupils make at least good progress.

    • Writing: Improving writing outcomes by developing pupils’ editing and self-improvement skills.

    • Mathematics (KS2): Reviewing and enhancing interventions to ensure strong progress and achievement in maths.

    Attendance

    • Continuing to maintain high attendance across the school, while focusing on reducing persistent absenteeism in a small number of pupils, particularly those who are disadvantaged or vulnerable.

Our next Parent Surgery will take place on Tuesday 25th November @ 9am. All welcome.

    Many thanks, Nevin Deakin
