Early Collections from School25 February 2026 (by headmarton) |
Message for Families
I would like to raise a concern about the increasing number of pupils being collected during the school day for appointments or leaving early, particularly on Fridays. We have just returned from Half Term but there were three pupils collected yesterday and already two today.
While we understand that some medical or dental appointments must take place during school hours, the frequency is now impacting learning time. Every lesson is important, and even short absences disrupt progress and routines. School attendance is about protecting every opportunity for learning and development.
To safeguard learning time, we will require an official appointment or meeting card (or written confirmation) before a child is permitted to leave during the school day. Without appropriate evidence, early collection will not be authorised.
We appreciate your support in ensuring appointments are arranged outside school hours wherever possible.
