We’re delighted to announce that we’ve added a wonderful outdoor performance stage and challenging Trim Trail to our playground… much to the delight of our children. This exciting project began after meeting Pentagon Play (a leading school playground company) at the DECAPH conference where we discussed potential ideas for our school. Their Trim Trail and Performance Stage seemed like the addition our children needed and the PTA also backed the project who were also excellent once again in helping to raise funds. Our new Trim Trail provides the children with a variety of physical challenges that will develop their grip and grasp, upper and lower body strength, balance and gross motor skills. It will also be a great place for group challenges which will help improve cooperation, competition and imaginative play. The Outdoor Performance Stage is a single decked stage, complete with a chalkboard backdrop and benches for children to sit on when watching their classmates perform. Simply being outside the confines of a traditional classroom will give our children a sense of freedom and leave them feeling less inhibited which will lead to improved posture, better voice projection and greater creativity. We’d like to thank Pentagon Play for designing and installing the equipment and we highly recommend them to anyone looking to develop their outdoor learning environment
